Pedestrian Bridge Update
February 25, 2009,the House of Representatives approved the Omnibus Appropriations Act. Within that Act, the City of Isanti will receive $950,000 towards the construction of the Pedestrian Bridge that has been proposed to span over Trunk Highway 65, providing a safe crossing for pedestrians and bicyclists. As of this time, President Obama has not yet signed the bill into law.
City of Isanti Awarded Neighborhood Stabilization Funds
On February 26, 2009 the City of Isanti received notification that the City was selected to receive $552,855 in Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Funds. The City will use the funds to increase homeownership in targeted neighborhoods where there is a high incidence of foreclosures.
