Big Shreds Coming to Bluebird Park! 🛹
Get ready, Isanti! The City Council has officially greenlit a massive two-phase upgrade for the skate park at Bluebird Park. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting your wheels under you, 2026 is going to be a legendary year for our local skate scene.
Phase 1: The Foundation of Fun
Starting in June 2026, the first wave of improvements will hit the ground. We’ve partnered with the experts at Ramparts Skateparks to bring a mix of custom-built concrete and steel components designed to flow perfectly.
What’s landing in Phase 1 (Outlined in red below):
-
The Quarter Pipe: A massive 3'6" tall by 20' wide precast concrete quarter pipe featuring a "floating style" support structure.
-
The Beginner Fly Box: Perfect for progression, this 1' tall by 8' wide section includes grind boxes of varying heights.
-
Plaza Style Grind Rail: A $24' long, hot-dip galvanized steel rail for perfecting those slides.
-
The Bank Ramp with Hip: A heavy-duty concrete and steel ramp standing up to 5' tall, featuring an integrated hip for maximum airtime.
-
The Refresh: We aren't just adding new gear; we're rehabbing existing favorites. The Pyramid obstacle is getting an extra 2' of length and fresh skating surfaces where needed.

Phase 2: Introducing The "Boomerang Bowl"
The excitement doesn’t stop there! City Council has also authorized Phase 2, which introduces the crown jewel of the park: The Legendary Boomerang Bowl.
This specialized addition is designed to provide a unique, flowing experience that you won't find at every local park. With a dedicated budget of $32,426, this phase ensures that Isanti remains a top destination for regional skaters.
