Notice of Candidate Filing for Municipal Office 2024
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statute 205.13; Subd 2, that candidate filings for the City of Isanti elected offices will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 5:00 pm. Our offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The amount of candidate filings received will determine whether the City of Isanti will hold a municipal primary election on August 13, 2024.
Candidates for City offices file with the Isanti City Clerk, 110-1st Ave NW, Isanti, Minnesota 55040.
City Offices:
- City Councilmember for a 2-year term, beginning November 19, 2024 through December 31, 2026)
City Councilmember (2 seats) for a Full-term of 4-years each beginning January 2025 through December 31, 2028.
Cost to File:
The cost to file an Affidavit of Candidacy is $15.00. Individuals may submit a Petition in lieu of the filing fee. For further information on this, please contact the City Clerk.
Withdrawal of Candidacy:
Affidavits of Withdrawal are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2024. The filing fee is not refundable.
