Stay Active at Isanti Parks! PDF Print E-mail

The City of Isanti is dedicated to providing a coordinated system of open spaces, parks, and trails that are integrated into the fabric of its neighborhoods. Each neighborhood or community park provides both passive and active recreational opportunities for area residents.

Isanti has ample recreational opportunities for everyone. With over 105 acres of parkland; young and old alike can enjoy the many amenities and opportunities for outdoor activities found within Isanti’s park system. The city’s commitment to the provision of additional parks and trails will only provide more opportunities for future residents of every age group.

The Cities of Isanti and Cambridge are currently working with Isanti County and interested community members to develop a trail that will connect both cities. With such a connection, the City of Isanti will continue to meet and exceed its goals and aspirations for major trail connections to parks, wetlands, and community facilities; in an effort to increase activity of residents and promote healthy lifestyles.

What Isanti Parks Can Offer You!

The Parks and Recreation Department of Isanti have begun development of a regional park, Bluebird Park. As the largest park in Isanti, the site hosts a BMX facility, nine soccer fields, a baseball diamond, Skate Park, outdoor hockey and skating facility, playground, and trail system. Ample open space has been provided for games such as Frisbee, bocce ball, croquet, and kite flying; just to name a few. Future park amenities would also include additional picnic areas and baseball fields, a warming house facility, outdoor performance center as well as tennis and / or basketball courts. Bluebird Park offers something for everyone.

The City remains dedicated to the growth and creation of existing and new parkland, ensuring that future residents have ample opportunity to enjoy neighborhood parks. In an effort to enhance the park system, donations are accepted for the acquisition for new equipment, trees, or flower beds for the City parks and trails. If you are interested, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (763) 444-5512 to request a donation form. Donation forms can also be accessed on the website at www.ci.isanti.mn.us/parks.
