City of Isanti Sidewalk Shoveling Regulations

City Ordinance provides all property owners and / or renter shall be responsible for snow removal from sidewalks adjacent to their property within 12 hours after a snowfall.  Sidewalks that are not cleared after 48 hours will be cleared by the City and the cost to clear the sidewalk shall be assessed to the property owner.  Sidewalks located on the following locations are an exception to the above and shall be cleared by the City:

  • Broadway Street - Railroad Avenue to Candy Avenue
  • Dahlin Avenue - Broadway Street to Main Street
  • Main Street West - CASH 23 to Dahlin Avenue
  • Oakwood Street - CASH 23 to Centennial Drive
  • CSAH 5 - CSAH 23 to East Dual Boulevard
  • First Avenue N - Main Street to CSAH 5
  • Second Avenue N - Main Street to CSAH 5
  • Third Avenue N - Main Street to CSAH 5
  • Fourth Avenue N - Main Street to CSAH 5
  • Fifth Avenue N - Main Street to CSAH 5
  • CSAH 23 - South Passage to CSAH 5
  • Whiskey Road - CSAH 5 to Isanti Parkway West
  • Wendover Street NW - Whiskey Road to Rum River Drive NW
  • Rum River Drive NW - Wendover Street NW to Hillock Street NW
  • Fifth Street South – from Main Street south through the section of sidewalk just south of the intersection with Elizabeth Street
  • Sidewalks located along the edge of city owned property, i.e. parks, playgrounds, etc.
  • Please see the attached map that indicates the above stated locations where the City is responsible for clearing the sidewalks.

    City of Isanti Winter Parking Restrictions

    The snow season is just beginning and the City of Isanti provides the following regulations on the parking on City Streets and in the Municipal Parking Lot.

    City Ordinance No. 122 provides that parking of vehicles is not allowed on City streets between the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. from November 1st through March 31st of every year. Parking is not permitted in the City s downtown municipal parking lot (located south of Main Street and west of the railroad tracks) between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Parking is permitted on streets after 6:00 a.m. provided snow removal has been completed or there is no snow. This ordinance will be enforced by the City.
